Part of our team recently visited Seville, Spain, where they took part in specialist training for an upcoming Phase 4 international clinical trial in patients with asthma. During the meeting, details of the trial protocol, patient inclusion criteria, follow-up procedures and all requirements relating to the quality and safety of participants were presented.

What are Phase 4 trials?

Phase 4 trials are conducted following the approval of a particular treatment and aim to gather further data on its efficacy and safety in real-world clinical practice. They provide valuable information on how the treatment performs in a wider range of patients and contribute to the continuous improvement of medical care.

New opportunities for patients with asthma

Asthma is a chronic condition that can significantly affect quality of life. Despite the availability of various treatment options, many patients continue to seek better symptom control and more effective solutions.

Taking part in clinical trials provides access to innovative treatments and more in-depth medical monitoring by a specialist team.

More information will be available soon

The final preparations are currently underway, and we expect the Unimed Medical Centre to be officially designated as a centre for this international study very soon. Once it has been activated, we will publish details regarding the eligibility criteria and opportunities for patient enrolment. Please keep an eye on our website for the latest information on this and other clinical trials due to start at Unimed.
