Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is gradually finding its place as one of the most promising therapies restoring the balance of gut microbiota.
Today we share the story of Iva - one of Dr. Hinov's patients who went through this process at our center. Her personal story is extremely valuable because it shows not only the medical but also the human side of FMT - the hope, the patience and the change that comes when the body begins to recover from within.

Here's what she shares:

"My Clostridium Difficile problems started 2 and a half years ago after taking 2 antibiotics, and unnecessary ones at that. Attempts were made to treat it in all sorts of ways, but it kept coming back. After about 6 months of torment, dieting and all sorts of treatments, things finally got better. But overall I wasn't feeling very well - I started getting anxiety in the mornings, losing weight again, getting irritable, acne, tolerating less and less food, my energy seemed to be dwindling. I got pregnant with my second child, and during the pregnancy I got a bacterial infection in my nose, for which I was prescribed an antibiotic. I knew I shouldn't take it, it felt wrong. And right after the second pill I got intestinal discomfort. Then I contacted Dr. Hinov from the Unimed Medical Center in Sevlievo and we talked about my condition. He told me that fecal therapy can be applied in my case and it is good to plan it after delivery if something urgent does not happen by then.
And here I had to - I gave birth by cesarean section and was again subjected to antibiotic. At first I had no problem, but about 2 months later I started getting vegetative symptoms, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, daily morning diarrhea with runny nose that would go away once my bowels calmed down. And so 2 months... I went to all the specialists, from an infectious disease specialist to a psychiatrist with the conclusion that I was fine.
I contacted Dr. Hinoff again and filled out a very long questionnaire, sent in my full history of the condition and the doctor carefully scheduled me for the procedure as soon as possible. We did 2 courses. He is someone you have to trust if you want things to go the best way. I spared nothing, I shared so many things with him in detail and he suggested a change in my eating habits and supplements to take.
Everything I have used has worked well for me before and after the fecal therapy. The anxiety is gone, I feel energetic, I feel the need to eat, I no longer have cravings for sweets but for real food.
I received the attention that everyone deserves from Dr. Hinoff and I am so grateful that we met! My life will not be the same from here on out. I have turned to a healthier lifestyle, with cleaner foods, and have realized that a lot of supplements don't do the trick - it just has to be a few, but the right ones, and we heal by bringing the body back into balance so that disease can flee from us.

Greetings,
Iva."

Iva's story is just one of many examples of how restoring the microbiome can change the lives of people who have not found a solution for a long time.
At Dr. Hinov's center, each patient is treated individually, following strict protocols for safety and quality of donor material, and our main goal is to give people back the health and energy they have lost.
We believe that sharing real stories can inspire others to seek their own path to recovery and a better quality of life.
